Creativity, magic, and techno infused with strokes of genius – that’s The Reason Y, the project of Frederik L. Since 2007, he has been turning heads with his raw, hypnotic, and minimalist sound.

"The magic of techno and the connection with the crowd are what drive me. But musically, I’ve never been tied to a single genre – you’ll also hear Drum’n’Bass and breakbeats woven into my sets."

His passion began in the far north, where he started collecting vinyl and refining his mixing skills. Today, he shapes the scene with his unique productions, supported by heavyweights like Pan-Pot and Gregor Tresher, as well as with his own event series TRY Land, formerly hosted at Watergate. He’s also a regular behind the decks at Berlin’s Sisyphos, Fridas Pier in Stuttgart, and many more.
