Hintergrund ist, dass Sport-, Freizeit- und Kulturveranstaltungen jeder Art bei einem zweiwöchigen Widerrufs- und Rückgaberecht kaum plan- und wirtschaftlich durchführbar wären. KOLLEKTIV TURMSTRASSE
Kollektiv Turmstrasse is one of the most influential German live acts in electronic music, having shaped the international house and techno sound for many years. Defined by continuous stylistic evolution and bold changes in direction, the project stands for artistic progress and musical depth—beyond trends and stagnation.
Behind Kollektiv Turmstrasse is Nico Plagemann. His music moves confidently between sensitive breakbeats, driving house tracks, and emotionally charged dancefloor anthems. Time and again, he opens up new sonic spaces: influences from indie dance, techno, hip hop, and pop blend seamlessly with soul and classic house aesthetics. His sound is a crossover of everything that inspires him—warm, groovy, and unmistakable.
Originally founded as a duo in Wismar and named after the street where the first tracks were created, Kollektiv Turmstrasse laid an early foundation with the album Rebellion der Träumer. This was followed by numerous releases on renowned labels such as Kompakt, Diynamic, Cocoon, Fabric, and FFFR. After Christian Löffler’s departure, Nico continued to develop the project as a solo act—not as a rupture, but as a natural next step.
Today, Kollektiv Turmstrasse is one of the most booked live acts in electronic music worldwide. Nico performs at leading festivals and in the most relevant clubs across the globe—from Europe to Brazil and Australia. Tracks such as “Grillen im Park,” “Ordinary,” “Last Day,” and the international breakout hit “Sorry I’m Late” have long since become classics. The latter has surpassed 50 million streams on Spotify and over 11 million views on YouTube.
With the album Unity of Opposites, Nico once again underlines his artistic philosophy: music as an ongoing journey shaped by self-reflection, contrast, and the desire for constant growth. His productions emerge from a balance between intuition and reduction—surprising, emotional, and always rich in depth.
Alongside his studio work and international touring, Nico curated his own event series, YAP – You Are Perfect, centered around inclusion, community, and respect. The series reflected not only his musical ideals but also the core values of original club culture: openness, connection, and freedom beyond the pressure of self-optimization. New event concepts are already being considered and are currently in development.
At present, Nico’s focus is on building his own label Post Hope Audio, which will be announced publicly in the near future. With new releases, fresh musical impulses, and carefully selected artists, the label will serve as a platform that consistently reflects his musical vision and ongoing artistic evolution.
Kollektiv Turmstrasse stands for music that lasts—well beyond Monday morning. For warmth, groove, and the unique sense of reconciliation that electronic music can create. And for the courage to keep moving forward while never losing sight of where it all began.
