Matthias Tanzmann – Underground House Architect | Circoloco Resident & Moon Harbour Boss

A key force in shaping underground house for over two decades, Matthias Tanzmann is the Leipzig-born DJ, producer, and label head behind Moon Harbour Recordings, and a core Circoloco resident at Ibiza’s legendary DC10. Known for deep, hypnotic grooves and impeccable flow, Tanzmann’s DJ sets and productions thread timeless house aesthetics with fresh innovation.

Whether performing solo, remixing names like Jamie Jones and Moby, or collaborating as 1/3 of Better Lost Than Stupid (with Davide Squillace and Martin Buttrich), Matthias brings a signature sound—slick, subtle, and deeply infectious. With acclaimed releases on Dirtybird, Saved, and his solo LP Round And Round, Tanzmann’s versatility and longevity are matched only by his constant evolution.

Not many artists like the Italian Dj & Producer are lucky enough to release a track that defies genre classification and reaches into mainstream culture, with people enthusiastically embracing its melody and adopting it as if it were a football anthem. His track “Rave” has become an instant classic, a timeless piece of music gaining more than 100 million streams (becoming the most clicked Techno track ever). Since 1996, a landmark year for him thanks to the worldwide success of his track “Zoe” produced as Paganini Traxx, Sam Paganini’s stylistic experimentations have gone from strength to strength, leading him to collaborate and release his music on several record labels like Plus8, Cocoon Recordings and Drumcode, reaching the highest spots on Beatport’s Techno Chart several times.
